Let's Talk About (Long Distance) Sex

I made this throwaway to try to open up an (optionally) anonymous talk about long distance sex. With sex in real life, there are tons of resources and info about it, and it's fairly easy to figure out what behaviors and stuff are normal or common.

But with long-distance relationships (LDRs), I have no idea what's considered a "normal" level of long-distance intimacy. So I was hoping people could make throwaway accounts (if they prefer) and share their thoughts openly.

Here are some basic questions, but feel free to contribute anything you want. Nothing is too much or too little:

• Do you and your SO engage in mutual masturbation over Skype or video?
• Do you guys watch porn together (i.e. both watching the same video at the same time)? Do you masturbate during it? Are you on Skype, seeing or hearing each other during that?
• Do you exchange erotic texts, emails, or IMs?
• Do you get naked at all over video chat? Do you show each other sexy body parts?
• Do you engage in phone sex (audio only)? Does that include mutual masturbation?
• Do you use toys like vibrators or fleshlights during mutual activity (video/audio/text)?
• How does the frequency of intimate activities compare between when you're apart and when you're physically together?
• How comfortable are you with long distance sex? How about your partner?
• What is the average length of time you two spend apart?

Don't feel obligated to answer everything—or anything! You can share whatever info you like. This is just to get the ball rolling.

Hopefully this will help people new to LDRs know what to expect, give veterans some ideas or inspiration, and help everyone feel more comfortable exploring their own version of long-distance intimacy.
