It's weird that I write this, but on Saturday night I had the best sex ever with my wife, and it's gotten me nervous on how to repeat it. For context, I'm with my wife since we were 17, and we have a fine sex life. Sometimes we go through dry spells, other times we have sex quite often, things change naturally after all these years.

Anyway, we are going through a dry spell the last few months, having sex once or twice a month. But we got frisky when we laid on bed on Saturday. We didn't do anything different than usual, I got her close with my fingers, she asked me to go inside her. I did and after a few thrusts I felt like a was about to orgasm, so I pulled out to prolong it a little bit. But she was very close and asked me to continue, so after a few seconds I did, and then it happened; I didn't orgasm.

Usually I last something between 2 to 10 minutes. When I was younger I could keep going without any refraction period but this is not happening anymore. It's not a problem for us, we enjoy sex and she orgmasms almost every time. When I don't want to finish I pull out for a little bit to cool down but this breaks our enjoyment. My husband was weirded out the first time this happened to him. Basically said he had clamped down his pelvic floor just trying to hold on, the continued stimulation pushed him to orgasm but because there was no ejaculation he was able to continue. He's gotten better over the years and is able to enjoy multiples now and sometimes chooses to save the ejaculation for later. It does tend to have a mildly cumulative pressurizing factor, I doubt it's semen accumulation and more likely psychological and pelvic floor related. If he's retained a few sessions and attempts a pullout it easily hits the headboard. Congrats on your new skill. Practice it. Become proficient so it doesn't feel like a once in a lifetime thing that you feel you can't figure out how to repeat. Do it now while the muscle memory is still a thing.
