Parents of teenagers, would you be fine with your teens having sex in their room?
I'm not talking about 15- year olds, by the way. I'm meaning late teens. So 16, 17, 18, 19. I have a 17 year old and people find it outrageous that I allow her to have sex in her room. My reasoning comes from the fact that when I was 17, I had sex in the car and got caught by the cops. My friends who had sex in public places would do it in the woods, in abandoned houses, etc. The risks of public sex is too much and I know majority of teenagers have to resort to it. However, I did not want this to be the case for my teen. I don't have an issue with my daughter having safe sex at all as unpopular as that sounds. She works, she drives, she pays her own phone bill. In the end I guess it just all comes down to maturity.

I'd be ok with my kids having sex in the house. They jack off in the house. They shit in the house. Who cares. We all do it. It's good for you! It'll make you relax, calm, and happy :) They just need to use contraceptives... I'm not gonna pay for raising a grand child!
If you restrict them from having sex at home, they'll have sex elsewhere. So why not give them a safe place to have sex?
If my children are anything like me, they are going to have sex anyway. I would rather them do it somewhere where they feel safe. In addition to that, banning them from having sex at home would likely mean that they wouldn't come to me if they have questions about sex. I'd rather them approach me or my future wife and ask us about questions that they might have rather than learn off of porn or some sleazy person on the internet. While, this is bound to happen anyway, but at least if they come to us, we would be able to provide some sort of guidance and help them to adjust their expectations. Edit: Changed a couple "you"s to "me" to increase coherency of passage.
well I think the idea for some would be to say: hey I did all I could but they fucked up anyway so I am not to blame for what they did. or maybe they are thinking: the harder they make it, they will do it less? idk but I mean the meme: my parents aren't home, was so popular for a reason, so the kids would just do it when your not home, which can result in a bad relationship with your kids. just some thoughts
